GTFO, the talent on hand when saban got there wasn't even close to the talent miles inherited. Everyone knows it you just enjoy being a contrarian. Sure LSU has always had talent, but miles inherited a team that was talented 3 deep across the board. Y'all hate admitting what saban did for Lsu. The best players in louisiana in the 90's were going all over the place, FSU-Miami- Notre dame etc. Saban got there and put a fence around the state and made Lsu a national brand. Maybe miles could have done the same, who knows..but I think there are a lot of coaches that could have gotten the Lsu job when saban left and be doing just as well as Les is doing

Your partially correct about SABAN bringing us to elite powerhouse status but your not completly factual with that comment. It's true what you said about us losing players left and right out of state until 1995. That was a landmark year for the Tigers when Dinardo got here and kept Kevin Faulk in the state.

After this, Dinardo brought in a NSD event every year and began KEEPING the best players in state. Don't believe me? Check the recruiting class of the mid to late 90's and check how much talent was Dinardo's when SABAN won his first SEC Champ in 01. Dinardo missed a couple elite players, but hardly any, hell Miles still can't quite keep everybody in state.

Yes, SABAN did take us to another level, but he was given alot more then BAMA fans would like to admit when he got to LSU because it doesn't fit the complete narrative.
