You forget that when the Ole Miss and LSU game was a rivalry neither of them were the caliber that LSU or Bama are at this point. I don't think Ole Miss has been to Atlanta in at least 30 years. Ole Miss and LSU returning to some sort of rivalry would involve LSU taking a step back.

That must have been to someone else. Do you not think Freeze is the right guy? I have no clue, just asking. Lord knows we went through a group and each time I "hoped" this is the guy.

What does this even mean? Had they been to Atlanta in the previous 30 years? What was in Atlanta before the 90s??

That's only one possibility. The other more attractive one is that in a parallel universe somewhere maybe Ole Miss would suddenly revive its football program and become a contender again. That would revive the old rivalry and "Geaux to Hell, Ole Miss!" would again echo out from Death Valley with real passion.

Likely? No. But I prefer my hypothetical to yours.
