And to the "Mr Rulebook" you are wrong. With your interpritation ANY hit EVER is illegal as long as the player on offense is able to make his facemask touch any part of the defenders helmet. You probably also think the last play wasn't holding because of some word in the rulebook. God help you with that brain.
