In Georgia's last 16 games, JJ has recorded 16.5 sacks. I don't think I've ever seen a UGA defensive player completely take over a game like he did saturday. Pollack had some crucial plays in big wins (SC 02, clemson 03, many others) but Jarvis almost singlehandedly beat missouri by himself.

to the big guy!

Watched the 2nd half of UGA/Mizzou game last night. Dude just took the game over. Plays any spot on the field.

It's a shame our staff was a bunch of duds with Martinez leading the defense, otherwise we'd have had him out of high school. The biggest reason he came back to UGA was Grantham. And man has it paid off big time for us.

I can't frickin wait til the end of this month when we actually have a fully stocked defense. Tree and Rambo to go along with Jarvis and what else we already have is gonna be fun to watch.

I wish there were more UG fans here today. This could rival UT WR fapping threads with more participation.

JJ is a beast. I hope he's a NFL bound Junior. He looks 30 and ready either way. That's a man among boys much of the time.

I re-watched the game last night. That guy is incredible. May be the best defensive player we've ever had, and that's saying something. Jarvis plain and simple won that game for us.

ETA Theus did have a rough night. He needs to grow up quick before he gets Murray killed.

Also, I trust you had a good a trip. Wish I could have made that trip.

True, but you can probably expect that with so many new starters in the first big road game of the year.

Theus is a true freshman, growing pains are normal, but yeah he really had some trouble. Fortunately, it's not like his technique overall was piss poor, just kept jumping early which is easily fixable.

We get 2 more easy games in the next 2 weeks before UT at home, so we should really be hitting on all cylinders by then.

Why did he not go pro after last season? I have to assume he graded out as a 1st rounder. He was beastly on Saturday, just have to tip your cap.

he was a definite first rounder, he just wanted to come back to school and play for grantham again. He had only played at UGA for 1 year, I guess he didnt' just wanna up and leave.

When he is asked this question, he says that he was not ready, and that he still had a lot more to learn before making that jump.

Also played Saturday with a strained groin...
Eight tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, one interception and one pass breakup!

It was his first year playing 3-4 OLB and he felt he needed to learn more before making the jump.

Perfect technique on how to wrap up and strip a ball from the QB. Nice to see a UGA player wrap up for once.
