It's a game LSU won easily. I find it funny so many rantards get upset when you say they didn't look impressive.

I agree that LSU did not look very impressive.

But, what's really impressive about a game where LSU did not look impressive?

LSU had over 500 yards of offense. LSU probably only had 2 in the past 4 years. Mett completed over 70% of his passes. LSU QB's over the past 4 years rarely completed over 60% of their passes. Mett threw for almost 200 yards. There were numerous times over the past 4 years where our starting QB threw for less than 100 yards. LSU rushed for over 300 yards and had 2 RB's gain more than 100 yards each. LSU held their opponent to the lowest yards in a game last weekend while a whole bunch of other SEC teams played weak-arse teams too.

And.......LSU missed a couple of practices leading up to Saturday nights game, because of Hurricane Issac.

Not a bad outing for an uninspired team, with a lack of focus during the week prepping for the game, and with a first year starting QB.

Amidst all the talk of Bama's great performance(it was) is the lack of talk about how average AJ looked. Should we take that game as the barsetter for his ability? Did he just have a lucky, hot night in Jan? I don't think so but the reasoning is the same as yours for Mett.
