Not really. I have several friends who are in DO school. They were the average chemistry and biology majors who would have gone to any MD school in the nation but no one would take them. There are 138 MD schools in this country. If you can't get in to one of those, I don't want a less intelligent DO operating on me.

Sure they will treat me the same way. But the quality of that treatment and their overall intelligence in the event that something goes wrong is what I care more about.
