I audit medical bills for a living (given these are for uninsured crime victims in texas) and I see just as many DO's as MD's and they get paid the exact same according to medicare's guidelines....
I didn't know that about the schools though

Yea I would imagine there are tons of DO's who do lots of government work for the uninsured.
