LSU is better in the d backfield without him imho. They will be missing Mo Claiborne badly this year. But, losing TM just doesn't hurt them that bad to me.

Agree, except it is hard to measure what it means to lose his big plays. In the college game, that is a serious factor.

But I do agree that as a defensive back, he couldn't lock a receiver down by himself. So I'm not sure how this impacts LSU...I suspect you're right.

no different than patrick peterson the year before. Simon will be the next first round draft choice at CB for LSU.....Simon will be the shutdown corner. TM made a lot of plays in special packages, and that is going to be hard to be replaced, although there is a youngun that may play the nickel spot very well....will miss his playmaking ability....but for the base defense....probably not a huge loss.
