Not sure if you care, but Murray's two wins against ranked teams you list weren't ranked at the end of the season, which IMHO is the best week to pull rankings from since everyone's played and you have a better idea of how good teams actually are. I wouldn't count Bama's win against Penn State last year a win against a ranked opponent because they weren't ranked at the end of the season.

I think the only exception to this argument is team injuries. For example Florida was ranked at the time we played them last season, and maybe the team we played deserved to be ranked. They weren't ranked at the end of the season... but maybe if all the injuries hadn't occurred they should have been.
