I'm not but even with total control, you don't have control over free agency and salary cap. Unfortunately its coming down to how good your GM is much more so than in the past as the GM better be a financial whiz.

Best at talent evaluation and recruiting. Saban knows that and that is why he prefers college. Actually Saban did not turn down Perilloux. Saban said in one of his Bama conferences that he knew Perilloux was going to go to LSU instead of Texas because Perilloux had told Saban while he was at LSU that he was going to switch. I remember being surprised when Saban said that.
