I don't necessarily think he's great at evaluating talent. I just think he outworks everybody else. For lack of a better, non-overused word the "process" they have for evaluating and recruiting guys is second to none.

As far as schemes go they are on the cutting edge year in and year out. And again, I don't think he's a genius when it comes to X's and O's they just do a great job of meeting with people outside the program to make themselves better.

He does a great job of defining what they do and how the do it. If something isn't working the set out to make it better.

For example, I know they met with New England, the Saints, and the ex-Colts guys over the off-season. Then they went out and recruited maybe the two best TE prospects in the nation and have one in the hopper for next year.

If he coached at USC they might not ever lose game. The talent he would get, it would be like an NFL team.

BTW I hate having to play Bama very year and like last year twice, but if you want to be the best you got to beat the best.
