Omg one negative thing about Arkansas and shite shite storm comes. Intelligent people can graduate from anywhere, this isn't about that. This is about setting them up for the best chance of success. Intelligent people fulfil their potential better at A&M than at Arkansas. A&M is just a better education, hands down. You don't have to be bitter about it, it is just the truth. Higher starting salaries, more prestigious degree, and a more extensive network. I'm sorry that makes you butthurt.
"shite storm"? You made the asinine statement that if one doesn't go to A&M or Florida then they aren't intelligent or want to be successful. That is absolutely absurd, and I simply corrected you on your obviously biased shortcoming.
I disagree that A&M is a "better" education than Arkansas, or any other SEC school for that matter. Some arbitrary ranking isn't going to change that. I have my undergrad from Arkansas and about 75% of my colleagues have their undergrads from A&M and I can promise you that I am just as well prepared for my career, if not more so, than most of them. An education is what you make it, and you are essentially learning the same curriculum from the same books in the same manner at any of these schools you go to. The only place that one school could potentially stand out from another is in research capabilities, but if you have done any research at all on the matter you would know that every SEC school is well endowed and it is not all that difficult to get financial assistance and grants when doing research.
As I said before, the higher salaries thing is skewed due to A&M having a significantly higher percentage of engineering students. Due some research in regards to specific degrees and how the average starting salary compares between various SEC schools and I think you would quickly realize it is much closer than you seem to think.

No. I never said they weren't intelligent if they went there. I said if they were intelligent I would want them to go to A&M over a school like Arkansas. If I had a brainiac kid, his potential would be better reached at Rice than it would A&M. Rice is a better school than A&M. Both are light years ahead of Arkansas.
Sorry. If I had a star football player I would rather him play for Southern Cal than Arkansas State. Sure. He could get drafted out of either school if he was good enough, but USC is a better football team than Arkansas State. The Trojans would help him more. How the frick do you not get that? I'm not saying graduating from Arkansas makes you stupid, but I might change that if you can't figure out basic reading comprehension.

Higher salaries isn't just because of engineers. The Big 4 hires Aggies like crazy. I know for a fact that my Sooner friend at EY recruited and signed an Aggie below their gradepoint threshold because it was A&M. You are allowed to do that when you know the education is stronger. He wouldn't get away with that at Arkansas.
