Basketball player at Ole Miss in I think 1971. Averaged 40.1 points per game. Was the first college basketball player to declair hardship and go in the draft after his sophmore year. I thought that guy was going to be the next Pete Maravich in college. He played both guard and forward at 6'6.

Neumann. Set several scoring records - he & Maravich twice set the combined scoring record for one game, record(s) may still stand.

I remember that he was really good at using the bankshot.

he was really good. i remember as a student at LSU at the time, I was happy he went pro. lol. I suppose it was because he was only in college for a short time, but you don't see very much about him as compared to Pete Maravich. There were only a few points in average between them. Both had games in which they scored 69 pts, and 40's and 50's were common. I was just thinking about him and thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone remembered him.

Saw him play many times. Great shooter and even greater show off. If I'm not mistaken, he is the last player in the NCAA to average 40 or more points per game for the season.
