Chief Dawson said they found his car abandoned on Wire Road. Who knows where he's at. He could have gotten picked up or he's in foot. Hope they catch this bastard soon. Such a senseless act.
He's probably long gone by now, but it will be his last mistake if he comes through my area on Wire Road and I see him.

Yep. My only worry he was last reported on foot. He might still be in Auburn.
Everybody's got cell phones.
You can be sure after the car was ditched that one of his "homies" was there to pick him up.

This guy is fukked.
I imagine the police and marshals care not if he resists, and I am sure there are some Auburn fans among the Alabama prison inmate population who hope he gets assigned to their block.
Justice will prevail.

What makes you think he got on 85 before Wire RD? Makes more sense that he would have gone to Wire Rd to get on 85.
Not at all. The place that the shooting occurred was about a mile from 85. Wire Road crosses 85 like 15 miles south of Auburn. For him to take Wire Road, he'd have to either run a red light to take a left onto a busy South College...then run another red light to take a left onto Shug Jordan...and then run another red light to get onto Wire Road...then stay on a two lane Wire Road for 20 miles just to get to 85. Doesn't make any sense for him to take that route, especially for someone from Montgomery. If you just shot a bunch of people, you get on an interstate where you can blend in.

I would guess he went down Longleaf to Cox Road, Cox Road to Wire Road, then Wire Road toward I85 and abandoned the car before making it to the interstate. I wonder where on Wire Road the car was found.

That's how I would go, but I don't think that route was available back when NGT was in school.
Far fewer people would spot you on that route.

Yeah, they finally opened it all the way up to Cox Road a year or so ago. If I was familiar with the area at all and was trying to get away, I would go this way. There is a much smaller chance of being seen going this way, especially that time of the night.

Yeah, to my knowledge access to all those apartments back there were 1 way in and 1 way out onto South College.

Which makes me wonder if he ever made it to the Interstate.

I'm alittle late to this thread but I just wanted to come here to say that's a terrible and sad thing that happened

The back side of Longleaf that connects to Cox Road is definitely the way he went. It is pretty much all back roads to 85.

If you come to Auburn from Montgomery, Wire Rd is a likely route, so makes sense he would go back that way.

Even if he gets isolated on death row, I bet there are probably a few prison guards who could make him just a bit uncomfortable before he is put to sleep.

Haven't gotten a lockdown text message yet. Going to check my AU email.

On a side note, the AU police chief said they were looking to talk to 3 other people. I would bet that one of those people is who he called to pick him up from the side of Wire Road. I bet they ran a check of who he called right after the crime, and cross checked it to whoever the phone number belonged to.
