I'd say Mizzou does too, being an AAU school.

I disagree. A degree from either of those schools does not open any special doors except for in Texas and Florida.

I don't know about Florida, or even some diplomas at A&M, but my petroleum engineering degree carries some weight globally. And usually we are ranked number 1 in the country for undergrad, even though they don't rank is every year. I never received a graduate or doctorate from A&M, and I'm sure just based purely on endowment we are ranked highly because of all the research, but education wise who knows. I know that 4 of the world's 5 largest oil companies are in Houston, and I know that Texas A&M has a strong, if not the strongest presence in each of those companies.
