Holy butthurt, apparently someone has taken a lot of shite for being a sidewalker.

eta: Oh, and requirements.

Preferred: You attended school there.

Minimum:

a) Your parents/sibling/children/significant other went or goes there.

b) You were born and raised in the area (BR, Oxford, etc.)

c) You adopted them at an early age and have NEVER EVER abandoned them because of poor performance.

d) If none of the above are true, then you are a sidewalk fan UNLESS you donate money. If you just randomly up and decided to adopt a team, but you donate money, then you aren't a sidewalker because you're helping out.

If you can't say yes to at least one of those requirements, you are a pure bandwagon fan, simple as that.

I agree with this.

I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and I adopted the University of Missouri Tigers as my team in the 70's when I was just a small child. I can remember tuning in the Missouri games on my little transistor radio and listening while sitting on the porch.

I loved the teams back then and even through the bad years of the 80's and 90's in football when they stunk I stuck with them always even til today. I remember when I got older on cold nights when I couldn't get good reception on the radio in my house for the football or basketball game I would get in my car and drive closer to the tower so I could listen. I basically read and watch anything related to Missouri because they're the team I root for good or bad. Believe me anyone who stuck by Missouri football through the 80's and 90's and didn't go off and adopt another team is a true fan.

I would have loved to have gone to Mizzou but being a child whose dad died and lived in a home where my mother did all she could to support us I just didn't have the money to get there and things didn't work out for me to go there.
