My family has a farm albeit small for that area but most of the farmers down there are multimillionaires. My family is from Clarendon and I saw several 100 thousand dollar cars through out the area not to mention some of the homes. Pretty good for a bunch of dirt poor people. IMO 40 grand a year will buy a NICE house and provide for a good size family there. They seem to be not affected at all by the economic times. Or may just be making the most off all those subsidies.
