Now you've unknowingly stepped right into my wheel house. I was one of those people down there that was paid by the rice industry. Co-ops don't pay very well, unless you're an exec. or landowner/farmer.

The farmers would tell you co-ops don't pay at all, but crop advances/pool settlements beat USDA average payments. So that is a whole other argument unto itself.
