Our baseball will never get the support it needs for this reason. The Cardinals are so wildly popular, and throw in the Royals fans. Tiger baseball has no chance to be as popular as college baseball in southeast.

I just think college is much more interesting to watch. You don't have an over saturated schedule that lasts 9-10 months. You play 56 games and try to win as many as you can to get to post season. The athletes are still trying to get to the next level, so you don't have to worry about contracts and all that crap.
The earliest your best player can leave school is 2 years if his age falls just right, but most of the time 3 years.
In the spring, there is nothing better than being at a sold out Baum with over 11k fans. You have your drunk ones in the Hog Pen, but they just add to the atmosphere.
