Arky's good seasons were when they were in the "Private School Conference." They have never had a season remotely close to that of LSU last year. How many teams did Arky beat that finished ranked in the final polls? How many BCS bowl winners did they beat in '64?

Unfortunately the Hogs went after a Damaged Goods Top OC. Now you need to build on what you have left after BP. To get an idea of how negative the Hog Fan base will be is to look at how long it has taken Tiger Fans to warm to Les Miles who has one of the best Won/Loss records in college football. It's not gonna be pretty.

I can not take Hog ville anylonger, the idiots over there thinking we still have a shot at a national title are making my heads hurt. Alabama and LSU will kill us at home again this year and then they can take Long and his moral high ground and shove it were the sun does not shine. Alabama and LSU have those national championship expectations. We should and do not especially with the only coach in the past 20 years to have us on the brink of those goals now gone.

What kind of AD sits on his arse while he fires the third best coach in the league and nation without any type of back up plan?
Fuk him he should be FIRED IMO for being a dum arse. You could pay a coach a top coach like Mooch or numerous other NFL coaches up to 5 million per year? and you just do this? IMO he is gone as soon as the season is over. If you did not see the press conference as dead man walking then I do not know what to tell you.

Petrino was Not the 3rd best coach in the nation. I would put Spurrier for one over BP. I mean look what he has done at SC. For that matter he can say he's been to the SECCG with SC. Something BP can't say he did at Arky.

He would have been a better hire than freaking John L. He is good for nothing other than comic relief when we loose the game at least we will have something to laugh about. Not to mention Gus running a blitz on our state in our backyard?
Jeff Long has sat the program back a decade or longer. We will be lucky to sniff the liberty bowl again. He just does not get what this fan base deserves and what it wants. He does not care because he will take his self back to the east coast and blend back in with the rest of the carpet baggers.
