This isn't not to say he hasn't been successful, but it's easy to win there.

He did it at LSU albeit we were in a little better starting position when Saban came in than when Spurrier went to USCe

LSU was in a much better position to win than USC. They have no instate competition. Lou didn't get them in trouble with the NCAA etc...

LSU is also a historically winning school with access to a lot of rich talent. South Carolina just recently passed .500 in terms of their football wins and has exactly one championship of any kind.

Don't get me wrong, Saban is the best in the business. But I'm impressed with what Spurrier has got going on at USC.
