Do you folks really think 'Petrino' could 'hire' this girl without it going through the HR channels? And do you really believe HR would fast track her through without going through the proper procedures or required length of job posting? I don't think Petrino has that kind of power. I'm not even sure that Petrino is the one who actually 'hired' her. I think that aspect of the situation will be found to be legal and of no issue.

Agreed and she hasn't been harmed.
Other candidates may have been harmed, if they were more qaulified. Not sure anyone can prove such a subjective opinion.
