True, he makes $3 million a year.
However,

5 losses in the past 4 years.
He's gotten to two BCS bowl games in the last 3 years, won one.
Top 4-5 program in his weaker conference, which his school has a legit chance of winning in immediately.
Doesn't have to play LSU, Bama, etc. every year.

ETA: would be a lateral move at best, with a lower chance of winning a NC.

All of that is true.

But competitive people like a challenge and like to do it on the highest level.

I don't think he would come here if offered. Just want him or others I listed offered. No shite arse coaches like Long tried to do last time.
