The colors are not the problem. It's all the unoriginal mascots. I much prefer original mascots like gators, elephants, and roosters.

Razorbacks is a good one.
And the "red" thing is common, but for Arkansas, we were the only "Red & White" team in our old league for most of its existence.
Texas Tech (red & black) and Houston (red & blue or white) came long in the 1950s and 1970s.
