I'm sure you could draw your own conclusions from that data but I would imagine that Texas has more out of state alumni than A&M does. Probably by a wide margin also.

If true, that's a huge numbers advantage for Texas.

I would think it's merely a function that The University of Texas was a much bigger school enrollment-wise until the past 30 years.

The University of North Texas has similar living alumni data to Texas A&M. UNT claims "more than 326,000" living alumni.

You need to factor in current and retired military as well. If you do that, the split is probably 100:1 in favor of A&M.

In my year group (Army - 2000) alone, the split was 208:5
