Ole Miss Fans waging an ugly war on religion against Ms State.....

The Maroon and White Nation love to poke fun at TSUN. I mean, it’s all in fun…there’s nothing wrong with some good-natured ribbing. Part of the fun in a rivalry is bragging rights, which MSU has…and they want to take full advantage. But do the Bears understand this? Not likely, because nothing is off limits.
Apparently, before National Signing Day Hugh Freeze used the recruiting tactic of calling Dan Mullen an atheist to at least two prospects. This information comes from MSU football radio broadcaster Matt Wyatt on his ‘Head to Head’ radio show. Wyatt is a well-respected person with a credible history.
This might explain some of Dan Mullen’s comments on signing day that seemed to come out of nowhere: “a lot of people go to church on Sundays and tell you one thing but walk out the door and live their life very differently. We don’t do that here as Mississippi State. We live our lives the way we preach within our program.” Mullen was using an analogy between a football program where they don’t practice what they preach and a church-goer who does the same. And, of course, Ole Miss fans made a point to take that out of context (WARNING: Explicit Content).
This wouldn’t be the first time TSUN fans have brought religion into the discussion. They have long said Mullen was a Scientologist. When Freeze was hired they bragged about how he quoted Bible verses during his pep talks, but I guess he skipped over Leviticus 19:16.
This has gotten ugly, and there’s no need for it. Call Mississippi State rednecks or claim you are the more prominent school (which we know isn’t true) all you want, but to erroneously claim our head football coach isn’t a Christian? It seems as though Ole Miss will stop at nothing to degrade Mississippi State. It’s a shame for all the quality Ole Miss people who don’t want to have anything to do with this type of behavior. Hopefully we can restore some dignity to the rivalry and stop this before it gets worse. I have a feeling Thursday night at the Hump is going to be intense!

Mullens brought it up. He should have left what happens during recruiting private. Mullen has been using the rascism card against us from day 1. Game on.

How did Wyatt make a big deal about it? iirc all he said that he knew that 2 recruits were told by Freeze that Mullen was an atheist.

Bobby Moore is always posting about Ole Miss (or Piss) as he says it.
I rarely post on this board, but good grief man, did an Ole Miss guy steal your wife? Please stop revealing your agenda day after day on here. It's getting old for me to click on all the Ole Miss threads and have your skull-faced avatar all over it spouting your same similar propaganda.

Many instances of how recruiting actually goes down needs to stay private. Good or bad it's the nature of the beast. It's best for that kind of stuff to stay out of public light. Just like how we lost Liggins and you lost CJ. Bringing out the nitty gritty of what happened is not good for anyone.

He's a huge state fan, but is too big of a pussy to pull for a bad program. He has made his new home at maroonandwhitenation.com and loves to copy and paste shite over here and pretend its his own. If the sentences are long and not full of misspelled words, he's copied and pasted

So he copied and pasted a bunch of shite from a shitty blog and thinks he's proving something to us?
I've asked this before, but is there any source to these rumors aside from Matt Wyatt? Because if he's the only source, then it's probably not at all true.

the coach's religion should not even be in the discussion at a public university. Most practicing atheists are better citizens than your average christian. Mullen shouldn't be ridiculed if he is an atheist(which he's not) and freeze shouldn't be quoting the bible at his press conference. The bottome line is that Mullen's kids do a lot better job of staying out of trouble than most programs and they work their asses off with very little attrition. I am a christian and I wouldn't care if he was an atheist. I want to win football games and I want the players to represent my university in the correct manner.

apparently the MSU pay sites have more details of the conversations. Bundy could tell you, but apparently Richie is the main player Wyatt is referring to. I wont pretend like its not possible. Anything in recruiting is possible. But I imagine this is being blown way out of proportion.
