You all are taking 26 I believe you have only 23 sr's some of which I believe are walk ons, how many Jr's declared? 3? Unless some processing happens(which I dont since it doesnt need to happen) you will have a full 85 on scholarship, your full 2011 roster is 119 I believe.

I don't think that Alabama ever releases their football scholarship information. They are the only school in the SEC that does not I believe.

I don't care how it went down, I'm glad we got him and held onto Winston. I hope they get comfortable and fall in love with the place. Also hoping Philon and Winston open up S. Alabama recruiting for us.

Having McGee at UAB will be a boon for Petrino and UofA. McGee's relevant experience will mostly be at Arkansas with Petrino, when he's in a home talking to a parent or a recruit he'll use the phrase "like we did at Arkansas" over and over. The more UAB coaches refer to the Arkansas and Petrino model the more ever so slightly will the perception about Fayetteville and Petrino change and we'll snag more players from y'all.

We don't have a kid on campus that hits like Philon, Bama and Aubie's D punishes QB's on tackles, absolutely destroys their will, not just bringing them down for a loss or a sack. Jerry Franklin was a hoss but I never saw him try to drive his shoulder pads through a QB's spinal column. Bequette laid some quality hits but not many when a QB was staring him down the whole way.

The 25 rule means you have to be more efficient in your evaluations in all phases, character, on field, academic, etc. There's too much at risk to chance it on a screw up kid. This is a bit of an advantage for Petrino it plays into what he's already doing.
