I read up to Huntsville 9th smartest city in the nation.

It fell behind Birmingham, Mobile, Homewood, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Helena, and Daphne.

Amirite

I've spent enough time in Huntsville to know that is complete bull shite along with your constant crying about New Orleans. Holy shite. You hate the city. Congrats. Quit constantly crying about it in every thread you post in.

That hide yo kids, hide yo wife guy seemed really smart and all. Bama fan too, I hear.

Take is up with Forbes magazine then. I didn't make it up. I also don't know what naming several Bham suburbs that rank ahead of practically every city in Louisiana as places to live has to do with anything.

Quote directly from the Forbes article that you claim is "complete bulls###".

"Further inland, Huntsville, Ala., has long had a "smart" core to its economy--a legacy of its critical role in the NASA ballistic missile program. Today the area's traditional emphasis on aerospace has been joined by bold moves into such fields as biotechnology. Kiplinger recently ranked the area's economy No. 1 in the nation."

As for New Orleans, your reading comprehension isn't very good because I never said I disliked New Orleans at all. It's my favorite downtown area I've been to in the entire country and that includes Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, Nashville, Charlotte, etc. (although downtown Chicago is awesome and is right there with N.O. imho). I just think that the metro area as a whole (outside of the numerous great restaurants which admittedly are awesome and downtown which is awesome) is no more cosmopolitan overall than Birmingham for example. I'm not talking about places to go for a fun weekend getaway as N.O. clearly wins in a landslide. I'm talking about quality of life and other factors of the entire metro.

In short, I was responding to the jack### that took shots at the state acting as if the entire state of Louisiana is the mecca of refined culture and education that is above lewd and crude behavior.

FWIW, a majority of the intelligent people you're referring to aren't Alabama natives.
