Within the last 6 months, Tennessee has gotten Alabama executive director of athletics (Mal Moore's 2nd in command), Dave Hart; associate athletic director for compliance, Mike Ward; associate athletic director for external operations, Jon Gilbert; and now LB Coach Sal Sunseri.
That's not counting hiring Dooley, a past assistant coach for Saban. When he was hired, all they talked about was that he was a younger version of Nick Saban.
I don't count Lance Thompson. That was about 3 or 4 years ago and Thompson had gotten in trouble at UA and had to leave.
It sure does look like UT is trying to copy Alabama.

It is fricking pathetic. If we hire Kirby, I will be done with Tennessee football until Hart's gone.

Best team in the country with the best freaking coach. People don't realize what a mess DD stepped into. Five of Kiffin's recruits played. Bray, Juwuan James, Daniel Hood ,Marlon Walls and Marsalius Teague. Three of Fulmer's recruits played, Dallas Thomas, Austin Johnson and Tauren Poole. Everyone else was recruited by Dooley. We lost Janzen Jackson when he wouldn't leave the weed alone. We lost our best outside lber in Herman Lathers before the season, We have 3 of the top impact players in Hunter,Bray and Rogers and lose two of them for most of the season. Our other starting safety blows out a knee. We are operating with true freshmen and sophmores.
Dooley has hired Sam Pittman from North Carolina to coach O-line great recruiter and good coach
He hired Jay Graham away from South Carolina to coach Running backs. Great recruiter and good coach.
He's hired Sunseri: Not a proven DC but the guy knows defense and can recruit.
Word is Kevin Steele wants to come back to Knoxville as a position coach after being fired according to John Brice.
Everyone will be a year older and a year stronger. Don't think we won't content for the East this fall if everyone stays healthy.
Hell, I hope we copy Alabama's program to a "T". Best program in the nation. I'll take more "GUMPS" on the staff any day of the week.
