adequate doesnt cut it in the NFL. They are not going to draft an adequate nickle/dime back who can return punts. Your talking about a corner whose biggest accomplishment is causing fumbles. Not really the stat the NFL is concerned with out of their cover men. In the league every reciever is 6 foot +. If you cant cover a teams #3 reciever in college how are you going to cover an NFL #3 reciever. The Honey Weasel bubble has burst. He was right on Norwood and Hank for several passes but there was one major problem. He never knew the ball was in the air. He never turned his head head. He played the reciever instead of the ball. NFL QB's do not struggle with back shoulder passes on mid range out routes which will eat a cover man who cant turn his head up all day long.

I love that all the Gumps think TM7 won't cut it in the NFL based on the NCG where he got beat a few times...... as a sophomore.

Originally it wasn't a gump that said that.

Secondly, I think many on here have made it known why they don't think he can play at the next level and it has nothing to do with the NC game.

FWIW, I think he's a great player and he'll play in the NFL. He just got flat out embarrased on the biggest stage in college football. Bad enough that he and his fanbase that worshipped him deserve a little ribbing.
