The difference between now, and later. . .is that now, nobody concerns themselves with gameplanning for McCarron.
Because they are too busy trying to figure out how to stop Trent.
They'll still concern themselves with your running game, but nobody else instills any fear in opposing DC's.
More time planning for McCarron will be trouble for him. Like Tebow without Harvin.
ETA: not saying Tebow wasn't a great college QB. . .but the offense looked stoppable after Harvin left. . .because everyone had spent as much time planning for Harvin, as Tebow.
