It is not reversed though. Quit playing what if games. So what "if" Bama won 9-6 over LSU....would you rather play us or Okie St?

That is easy OSU. And not because I think they would deserve, but because it would be a lot easier game to win. That is what this whole debate is about. Not who is more deserving but who LSU would rather play.

The problem with SOS is the bias in it. It is based on how teams are ranked, even more so the top end of the rankings. Those rankings are manipulated so that when teams match up the ratings are higher. The netweorks push for this to get more vieweres which equals more money. No brainer and a very good business model to work with.

The advantage for that goes to the Big 12. Since they get to play everyone in their conference they each play every team that is ranked in that conference. Meaning teams like OU who was not a top 10 team last week, but stayed there because all of the hype not only for bedlam but because the BCS mess. The voting was manipulated to get great ratings. If they were ranked 20th most people would not have watch the game because the value of the win for OSU would not have helped that much.

SEC teams do not get that advantage because of the 2 divisions and rotating cross games. Yes if UA would have played USC and/or UGA it woul dhave helped the debate. But they did not. But go back and look at some of the highest tv ratings for games this year between top rated teams. Look where the teams were the weeks leading up to the game and see how far they jump in the rankings heading into the game. Again because of ratings.

I agree. So why do Bama fans have to start these type of threads?
