FWIW, I would vote Oklahoma St over Stanford because their schedule had a lot more decently good team however to say there's no argument is simply hyperbole.

USC is, to many, a better team than either Oklahoma or Kansas ST. Only losing to a top 5 Oregon is sure as hell a lot better than 6-6 Iowa ST.

Whether you agree or not, to say Stanford has both the most impressive win and loss is certainly not beyond argument.

That's why only about 1 in 12 voters had Stanford #3 but that percentage seems about right to me.

Who else has Stanford beaten outside of USC?

How is there no argument for voters putting Stanford over Alabama?
