This. Fulmer didn't recruit his last few years. The year Fulmer got fired and Kiffin got hired probably had a poor recruiting class due to coaching changes. Then the next year the same thing happened when Kiffin left and Dooley came in. So Dooley basically came in missing the previous 2 recruiting classes and the classes before that were probably not that great either.
Firing Dooley now would just leave yet another recruiting class ruined due to coaching transition. That would make 3 of the last 4 recruiting classes practically non-existent and leave UT with even less depth (if that is possible).

The class that Kiffin recruited and Dooley signed is pretty damn good. Next year he will have three solid classes at his disposal.
