DJ Williams was obviously a freak-a-beast at Arky but Gragg has been a LB terror from what I've seen this year. SIAP/Germans. Comparisons, thoughts.
DJ Williams 2010: 54 rec, 627 yds, 4 TD
Chris Gragg 2011 at this moment: 38 rec, 457 yds, 2 TD (with 2 or 3 games to go (hope the former than the latter))
DJ Williams 2010: 54 rec, 627 yds, 4 TD
Chris Gragg 2011 at this moment: 38 rec, 457 yds, 2 TD (with 2 or 3 games to go (hope the former than the latter))

DJ was a beast indeed and just an all around good team player.
Gragg is frikin HUGE though. He will make a name for himself. He is built for pro ball.

D.J Williams definitely is one of my favorite hogs. I think Gragg's size and speed gives him more upside though.

Earlier in the year I was thinking 'we really miss DJ'. Still would love to have DJ, but Gragg has really shown up lately, don't miss DJ the player nearly as much.

I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more pub. He's done so quietly. I guess anybody would be lost in the attention shuffle with the law firm receiving corp yall have.

He started out slowly this year. He wasn't getting full time starter reps because his blocking wasn't up to par with what the coaching staff wanted yet.
However, he has now taken over full time duties and has blown up recently. He's a big part of why our offense has been playing so much better lately. I definitely think next year he will put up better numbers than DJ did because we will have a green receiving corp and he will become the go to guy.

Gragg is 6'3" and 236 according to the razorback website. He looks much much bigger.
The guy is a beast, we are just now getting to see his potential. I think he will have a great year next year.

Gragg's body reminds me of Jermichael Finley, tall, long, good hands, tough to bring down and pretty agile for a guy his size. I think he'll have a huge year next season. He's a pretty good run blocker too so I expect he'll have some success at the next level.

Gragg, Childs and Jarius Wright same highschool, same class.

DJ is one of my all-time favorite Razorbacks... but I like Gragg, too. Gragg is a beast. He had big game last weekend and I look for him to have a huge season next year.

I would say that Gragg is a good bit faster than Williams is. As a receiver, I think Gragg is a bigger threat to really make yards after the catch that Williams was.

I actually think Gragg has better hands than DJ. But DJ has him beat as a blocker.
If Gragg could pack on a few more pounds I could see him being a real prospect as an NFL TE. But as it stands he's an awesome weapon to have. Wilson pretty much ignored him the first half of the season. But he's shown up huge since then.

DJ was a more complete player but was undersized. Gragg has the potential and measurables to be crazy good.

Gragg and yalls guy Peterson are similar as far as both look like freak athletes

They are really different kinds of players.
Gragg has a better body, in terms of being able to both stretch defenses and block, but DJ was a better blocker based on want-to. DJ also ran great routes, something that Gragg will struggle to do, especially with contact early.
Where Gragg separates himself from Williams, though, is in his ability to get the ball down the field after he catches the football. Williams was smoother, more polished, and more well rounded, but Gragg has the ability to make more big plays and a better frame-- even if he looks like a giraffe at times when running.
