I think a lot of people also saw Alabama never take one snap at first and goal, either. Contrary to what Jay Barker thinks, just lining up for a field goal does not = offensive success.
That attitude by Barker had me shaking my head as well. He's tough for me to take at times anyway, but I think his overall point which is shared by others such as Herbstriet. It's that BAMA outplayed LSU but was guilty of making more mistakes at crucial times that cost them the game. Alot of those mistakes like 12 men in the huddle, or calling for a reverse that loses 6 yrds without an LSU player touching the ballcarrier on 1st and 10 from the LSU 30 were unforced errors. BAMA beat LSU in every stat except the one that counts the most. Even the fact that on defense LSU had to change their entire gameplan to stop BAMA. It was effective but what other game has LSU put 9 in the box for every play? BAMA on defense changed some schemes and mixed up some tendencies but virtually stayed with thier base formations and line-ups against LSU adn were very effective. LSU started 2 of the 3 scoring drives from deep in BAMA territory. To me thats the difference in the 2 defenses and alot of "X" and "O" experts are able to see this.
Bottom line is that if your team plays a team once and losses every stat except scoreboard you know that in a rematch you cant count on that team to make those mistakes again. Some on the board want to see the two best teams play for it but more on here know that BAMA is the biggest threat out there and they want no part of them.

If anyone ever does anything in their life, they can characterize it as one long string of mistakes, one after another. Successful people don't make the same mistake twice.
There's another angle to this whole rematch thingy. When a team thinks they've won the the late 3rd qtr, and the other team comes back it can be hard to keep the Big Mo. LSU already thinks they've beaten Bama for the season, but if the stars align they're going to have to get back into game mode.
(Spare me the "Tigahs at home" junk. Bama loves to play LSU down there.)

If Bama had won in TTown, I'd want no part of LSU again either.
