My daughter just texted, and she is fine. Cars are flipped over on Wire Road and trees are also down near Wire Road. A friend of hers lives in a trailer and a big tree fell on the trailer next to his.

That's weird my friends brothers trailer got hit. It's where I kept some furniture over the summer and the tree went through the wall where my stuff was.

I wonder if we are thinking of the same trailer.

From the story on the front page of al.com:

Charles Martin with Auburn University communications and marketing, says some buildings are without power, some trees are down, but there is no injuries and no significant structural damage on campus.

Several manufactured homes were destroyed and damaged at the Ridgewood Village complex, 500 Webster Road, off Wire Road, near Auburn.

Cars were flipped and athletic fields damaged at Auburn High School, but all students are fine, according to reports.

Rita Smith, with Lee County Emergency Management Agency, said teams are now going to survey damage in the area. There are no reports of injuries or deaths, she said.

She said there is damage at Skyland Trailer Park on Lee County 169.

Damage is being assessed elsewhere too.

Damage has been reported at the Terrace Acres apartment complex just south of Auburn High School.

National Weather Service reported a building blown down at the intersection of County Roads 61 and 393 near Loachapoka.

National Weather Service is also reporting roof damage, power poles snapped and power lines down near Tiger Town shopping complex in Opelika.

Apparently the blue wall is supposed to go all the way around.

There's also supposed to be a scoreboard there.
