It is pretty amazing. They had a writer on ESPN who grew up in the town - he was also on Mike & Mike this morning - and he talked about how the town basically is Penn State, everything is about Penn State - and to them Penn State is about football and Joe Paterno. Again, amazing how so many can't step aside and look at this clearly, but this is a micro look at how blinded people can become from their "local color" they are subjected to their entire life.

I've seen this before first-hand and was amazed at how a group of followers would not even listen to logic and defended what they thought was right, even though it was so clear and presented in a way you would think they would have agreed with the truth. But again - most of them were brought up their entire lives thinking one way and had horse-blinders on they could not take off.

Life itself can be that way for a lot of people. They see things the way they want to see them, the way they are used to seeing them, and want to continue to do so. It' will be interesting to see if this continues to this degree in that community/school.

First off, anyone who hurts a child should have their sack ripped off with a pair of channel locks and anyone who knows that children are being hurt and are doing nothing to stop it should endure the same.

I'm not sure i could support the school again, this isnt somthing like paying a player or some random violation of ncaa rules, this is a serious crime against children over many years.

I really dont know how i would react to it, i really feel for the fans of Penn St, this wont go away soon nor should it.
