I agree but look closer at the play...he had to rush his throw due to pressure as well. That could also be the reason for the lofty throw.

EXACTLY! I can't believe so few people have noted this. Maze was a second from having his head taken off, he had to throw early and had it throw under pressure. It was actually a great throw considering it was his fourth or fifth college career pass.
