2010 v 2011 LSU v Bama

Which team has come the fartherest? If the the team which won in 2010 has improved even more than the loser from 2010, then which team should be the favorite? Not an analysis focused on offense/defense/special teams, rather a simple inquiry. Curious to hear from Bama fans explaining why they have improved more.
