Bottom line. Would the game be referred to as the Iron Bowl if it was played in Montgomery all those years?

Well it wasn't. The Third Saturday played on the Fourth Saturday makes about as much sense as the LA Lakers or the Utah Jazz...or the Orange Bowl committee moving the game to Omaha and keeping the name.

Ditto for the Iron Bowl being played in Tuscaloosa and Auburn - two cities that have NOTHING to do with the iron ore industry.

So...if the game was played on the Fourth Saturday of October all those years...we should dump the name if it was played on the 3rd a few years? I mean, it wasn't..
