It's a sport in which people hunt frogs. The tool used is called a "gig," and you pretty much stab a frog with it.

Back when we played TCU, a student was going around campus with a thumbs-up saying "Gig the hell outta those Horned Toads!"


Everything at A&M has a story behind it that t.u. usually copied, completely honestly.

exactly...kind of like holding that "gig" with a grip and thumb up and then you "gig em". Probably more common for people who live near the water or swamp. Maybe more of you LA people can shed more light on the sport. May be more common in East Texas..
