Catching up...were the involved players ruled ineligible then reinstated for last season? Wouldn't that make last season bullet-proof?

Pretty much the same reasoning behind Auburn's suspension/reinstatement of Cam...

Yes. All the Whitney involved players were suspended -- some were reinstated by the first or second game. Wesley Saunders was dismissed from the team.

Damiere Byrd is suspended for the first 4 games this year.

So, no wins will be vacated.
