I was going to post in the "LSU looks championship" thread but that had already turned into too big of a pissing match.

Here's my thoughts. Alot of "ifs" in here but looking for some thoughts. "IF" Georgia salvages their season. "IF" LSU wins all but a classic 1 or 2 point loss to BAMA in Tuscaloosa. "IF" BAMA goes undefeated and wins the SEC. "IF" oregon wins the Pac 12 and West Virginia wins the big east. "If" there are no other undefeated AQ BSC Teams. Will a one loss LSU team jump an undefeated Boise St. team for a rematch in the BCS Championship game?

The argument for Boise would be they beat a decent SEC team and are undefeated. The one for LSU would be they lost a thriller on the road to a top 2 team and have wins over 2 other BCS Conference Champions on their resumes. How much Boise love is out there from the voters?

Bama - Boise in the NCG.

BTW, that is not what I want, but the powers that be will feel their time is due.

I think LSU would jump Boise, or at least I'm hoping that's how it would happen.

it'd be nice if UGA loses a lot of games this season

It will be a stampede to put an undefeated Boise into the BCSCG this year

I hope all those smurf-banging arse holes suffer a slow and painful death for thinking they are actually a legitimate team.

Hell, if Ole Miss could play a 1-game season, their asses would be getting talked about too. Boise can eat shite

Not when the only SEC team they beat is 6-6 or worse.

So the early feel is that the only way to keep an undefeated Boise St. team out of the bcs champ is for there to be 2 undefeated AQ teams.

I think an undefeated Boise would/should get in over any one-loss team except a one-loss team from the SEC.

but "IF" GA turns it around and goes 9 - 3 what does that win mean to the voters.

Brigham Young has a National champ trophy.
the only big time team they beat was 6-6 Michigan in the Holiday bowl.

undefeated impresses some voters. the hope LSU would have is that the 1/3rd vote power that goes with the computers would allow LSU to move into the top 2.

SOS will be high for LSU if Oregon keeps up the whippings, 69-20 their opposition.

WV and Oregon both win their conferences, LSU's SOS will be higher than any team's.

Not to mention how much more tv coverage LSU would have gotten at that point than Boise. I would like to think that a resume that has 1 close road loss to a top 2 team and wins over 2 other conference champions (one at a neutral site) would be enough to jump a midmajor.

Am I missing something? How would LSU possibly jump Bama after, in your scenario, Bama won the SEC and beat LSU?
