If anys student or parent of a student would do their homework they would find the schools closer than Auburn "supports" will admit - with Alabama leading the many in far more academic areas than Auburn. Auburn supports want to hang their hat on the Engineering monacle and likes to think they are comparable to Georgia Tech - which couldn't be further from the truth.

I wonder if SACS accreditation probation should even be brought into this subject. It's pathetic when we break into this kind of moronic banter.


1. It was a damned joke.

2. I followed up the joke with a post saying pretty much what you said above (sorry you didn't bother to read it).

3. Auburn's engineering program IS better. Learn it. Love it. Live it.

Personally, in regards to engineering, I can't really tell the difference. I got my undergrad at Arky and I'm doing my masters at gatech in ME and the classes feel the exact same to me.

Auburn is the ONLY SEC school to have every been placed on Academic probation. Learnit. Love it. Live it.
