They get the National Merit Scholars because they offer the moon compared to what other schools offer. UA uses that as a marketing tool.

Wha? The moon?
We get good students because of our business and marketing programs. We had 31 last year, so this is no something new for us. Only up 10 from a year ago.

Ole Miss, Florida, Oklahoma, and a few others do it too. Once you get that national merit, your mailbox is stuffed with their shite nonstop.
