You are exactly right, Dyer may have known nothing. But, Gangsta's do hang together...chillin', booming out some tunes. What's up...what's up.
Could have easily been one of the robbery4 who slipped the gun out without the knowledge of Dyer or the girlfriend who could have had it for legitimate protection (probably against the gangsta's she was hangin' wit.)
