Has anyone talked to m2pro? He lives in Tuscaloosa, right?

He's my best friend. He is okay and was about 2 miles from the damage. His store was completely obliterated on 15th street but he wasn't in it when the storm hit. We are all so busy helping/volunteering that we haven't had much time to check in. I'll let him know you guys were asking about him though.

I posted this in another thread but I thought I would post it here too.

From what I have seen here in Tuscaloosa, the last thing the town needs is more volunteers from out of town. What is needed is money and supplies that can be sent here, but not more volunteers, vehicles, and tourists. The cars everywhere are just clogging the roads and blocking streets needed for police/fire/utility/rescue trucks. Most places I have tried to walk to have resulted in me being turned away by cops or guardsmen. They are concerned about looting and keeping the town safe and the extra people everywhere are making it tough on the cops to tell who has good intentions and who is here for trouble.

My advice: Unless you have family or friends who you are coming to help specifically, stay out of town and let the professionals do their job. Donate your goods and money, not your labor. There will be a time when more labor is needed but not now.

Also, before anyone accuses me, I am not bashing Chizik or AU here. Just saying what is needed. Another note, if you are an Auburn student driving up to help, DON'T wear Auburn gear, especially if it is a big group of you. It just makes it look like you are here for a thank you and to make Auburn look good instead of to help.
