I will give you one glaring example why UGA will not bring in a top tier coach.
Muschamp who have never been a HC is getting just 100K less than Richt who will be in his 11th season.
UGA has a rep on not paying top dollar for their coaches.

I agree actually. Well for some of it. We really don't go out to do that. But things are changing. They are having trouble getting money. Season tickets aren't flying off the press as quick. There's a bevy of bad press. Our Ath department has gotten complacent just like the football team. But that cash cow is faltering now. Fans, while divided on how to fix it, are furious with the product being turned out. We bring in as much money as anyone else yet they won't shell it out. Well I think that's changing under mcgarity. They are currently upping foxs contract. I think when get a new coach you'll see Georgia offer a TON. Hell the process started. We offered a qtr of a million to several DC like VTs foster or bamas smart. Then we got grantham. Point is that was new for UGA and what I think/hope is their new MO
