I absolutely love PP7. I obviously would be happy to see him #1. He is the closest thing to Deion Sanders (combo lockdown corner/dynamic return abilty) I have ever seen.

Unfortunately, while CB's can imapct the game, they can be avoided by just running the ball or throwing to other areas. Same thing with kick returning: simply just don't kick it to him. On defense, pass rushing DE's & DT's can't be avoided. CB's can be effectively gameplanned against for the most part. Teams mainly build around QB's and pass-rushers, not cornerbacks. That's why none has ever been drafted #1 overall.

Even Deion Sanders was drafted behind Troy Aikman, Tony Mandarich, Barry Sanders, & Derrick Thomas. But it'd be nice if someone finally takes a flier on a potential Darrell Revis/Devin Hester combo CB/plamaker.

Great corners shutdown a team's number one receiver and can force coverage sacks. That's a pretty big impact on the game.
